Tempo Football Academy (“Tempo”, “we”, “us”, “our”)

1) Definitions

  • Participant / Player: The child, young person or adult enrolled in any Tempo activity.
  • Parent/Guardian: The legal guardian of a Participant under 18.
  • Programme: Any service offered by Tempo, including the Full-Time Education & Football Transition Year Programme (“TY Programme”), Junior AcademyCamps & ClinicsTours, and Tournaments.
  • Fees: All payments due for enrolment, participation, kit, travel, accommodation, or any other chargeable item or service.
  • Sitewww.tempo.football and any related digital platform we use (e.g., 360Player).


2) Acceptance of These Terms

By enrolling, making payment, or allowing a Participant to attend any Programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the relevant Refund Policy, Code of Conduct, and Safeguarding Policy.


3) Eligibility & Parent/Guardian Responsibility

  • Participants must meet age, health, behavioural, and eligibility requirements set for each Programme.
  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for ensuring accurate personal, medical, and emergency contact information is provided and kept up to date.


4) Enrolment, Fees & Payment

  • A place is only confirmed on receipt of the required deposit or full payment, as specified for each Programme.
  • All fees must be paid by the deadlines communicated in offer letters, confirmation emails, or invoices.
  • Late or missed payments may result in suspension or termination of the Participant’s place without refund.
  • We reserve the right to use payment plansdirect debits, and recurring billing for ongoing programmes (e.g., Junior Academy monthly fees).
  • Chargebacks or disputed payments may result in immediate removal from the Programme and recovery of associated costs.


5) Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions. Key points:

  • TY Programme: All fees (including deposits and instalments) are non-refundable, except for cancellations by Tempo or cancellations made within the 14-day cooling-off period for online/remote enrolments before the programme starts.
  • Junior Academy: Monthly fees are non-refundable; term fees refundable only if cancellation is made at least 14 days before the next term begins.
  • Camps & Clinics: Tiered refund/credit structure based on notice period.
  • Tours: Deposits are non-refundable. Stage payments refundable only if we can recover costs and cancellation occurs more than 60 days prior to departure.
  • Tournaments: Refunds depend on timing of withdrawal (see Refund Policy).
  • Kit & Gear: Non-refundable once issued, but may be exchanged for different gear/size if unworn, undamaged, and without initials/personalisation.

6) Cooling-Off Period (Online/Remote Enrolments)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland), you may cancel within 14 days of an online or distance enrolment, provided the Programme has not started. If it starts within that period and you have used services, a deduction may be applied.


7) Code of Conduct & Behaviour

  • Participants and Parents/Guardians must adhere to Tempo’s Code of Conduct, respect staff, referees, teammates, opponents, facilities, and programme rules.
  • Bullying, harassment, abuse, discrimination, or persistent disruptive behaviour may result in suspension or termination without refund.
  • Parents/Guardians must model appropriate sideline behaviour and comply with club communication protocols.


At Tempo Football Academy, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism, behaviour, and respect. All players and parents/guardians are expected to contribute to a positive, supportive, and high-performance environment. By enrolling in the Full-Time Education & Football Transition Year Programme, you agree to the following:

Player Code of Conduct

As a Tempo player, I agree to:

  • Show respect to all coaches, teammates, opponents, referees, and staff
  • Arrive on time and give 100% effort in every training session, game, and academic lesson
  • Display sportsmanship — win with humility, lose with dignity
  • Take responsibility for my academic performance and overall development
  • Avoid negative behaviour, including bullying, bad language, or inappropriate conduct
  • Use social media responsibly and avoid posting anything that could harm the image of Tempo
  • Follow the academy’s guidelines on fitness, nutrition, and recovery
  • Uphold the Tempo values of Top Performance, Effort, Meaningful Commitment, Player Development, and Overall Growth
Note: Failure to meet these expectations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from the programme.

Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

As a parent/guardian of a Tempo player, I agree to:

  • Support my child by encouraging effort, development, and commitment — not just results
  • Respect the authority and decisions of the coaches and staff
  • Communicate respectfully and follow the correct process when raising concerns
  • Promote fair play, respect, and positivity at matches and events
  • Ensure my child is punctual, prepared, and committed to all training and academic sessions
  • Inform staff of any medical or personal issues that may affect participation
  • Use social media appropriately, and never post harmful, critical, or disrespectful content
  • Reinforce the Player Code of Conduct at home and support the academy’s culture
Note: Breaches of this Code may result in warnings, restricted event access, or removal from the programme community.

Tempo football uses a structured disciplinary system for breaches of conduct, attendance, or academic commitment:

Step 1: Verbal Warning

  • For minor or first-time issues
  • Parent/guardian informed
  • Behaviour monitored

Step 2: Written Warning

  • For repeated or serious breaches
  • Formal behaviour contract issued
  • Parent/guardian meeting arranged

Step 3: Suspension

  • Temporary exclusion from academy activities
  • Final warning status
  • Reinstatement only with staff approval

Step 4: Permanent Removal

  • Immediate removal from the programme without refund
  • Formal written notice issued to parent/guardian
TFA Elite reserves the right to escalate directly to suspension or removal in serious cases (e.g., violence, illegal activity, safeguarding concerns).


8) Safeguarding & Welfare

  • Tempo follows robust Safeguarding and Child Protection standards consistent with Irish law and Football Association policies.
  • Concerns can be reported to our Designated Liaison Person (DLP). Details available on request.


9) Medical, Health & Emergencies

  • You consent to Tempo staff arranging emergency medical treatment if necessary and agree to cover related costs where not otherwise insured.
  • You must disclose all relevant medical conditions before participation and update Tempo of any changes.
  • Participation is at your own risk; ensure the Participant is medically fit to take part.


10) Insurance

  • Tempo holds appropriate organisational insurance; however, this may not cover individual cancellations, illness, injury, or travel disruption.
  • For Tours and high-value programmes, personal travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be mandatory.


11) Programme Changes, Postponements & Cancellations

  • Tempo may alter schedules, venues, staff, or content for operational or safety reasons.
  • If a Programme is cancelled or postponed, we will provide either a refund or transfer in line with our Refund Policy.
  • Force Majeure: Tempo is not liable for non-performance due to events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes). See Section 17.


12) Attendance, Punctuality & Participation

  • Regular attendance and punctuality are expected.
  • Missed sessions (for any reason) are not refundable or creditable, unless expressly stated in the Refund Policy.
  • Tempo is not responsible for transport unless specifically included


13) Tours – Passports, Visas, Conduct & Curfews

  • Participants/Parents are responsible for valid passports, visas, and travel documents.
  • Participants must adhere to curfews, rooming rules, conduct policies, and staff instructions at all times.
  • Breaches may lead to being sent home at the parent’s/guardian’s expense without refund


14) Media, Image Rights & Communications

  • By participating, you consent to photography, filming, and use of images/video for Tempo’s legitimate business interests, including marketing and social media, unless you opt out in writing before the Programme begins.
  • Tempo may use systems such as 360Player for scheduling, communications, and performance tracking. You consent to your (or your child’s) data being used for these purposes (see Data Protection below).


15) Data Protection & Privacy (GDPR)

  • We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (Ireland).
  • Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is stored and shared.
  • You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, subject to legal obligations to retain certain records.


16) Intellectual Property

  • All training materials, analyses, curricula, documents, branding, and digital content created by Tempo remain Tempo’s intellectual property.
  • You may not copy, distribute, or exploit any such materials without express written consent.


17) Force Majeure

Tempo will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where caused by events outside its reasonable control, including (but not limited to) severe weather, pandemics, epidemics, government action, war, strikes, fire, flood, or failure of suppliers or partners.


18) Limitation of Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.
  • Subject to the above, Tempo’s total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with any Programme shall not exceed the total Fees paid for that Programme.
  • Tempo is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of opportunity, travel costs (unless expressly included), or personal property loss/damage.


19) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Tempo harmless from any claims, costs, or liabilities arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms,
  • Misconduct by the Participant or Parent/Guardian,
  • False or omitted medical or eligibility information, or
  • Damage to third-party property caused by you/the Participant.


20) Suspension & Termination

Tempo may suspend or terminate a Participant’s place immediately for:

  • Non-payment,
  • Serious or persistent breach of Code of Conduct or these Terms,
  • Behaviour jeopardising safety, welfare, or programme integrity.
    No refunds will be due where termination is for cause


21) Complaints Procedure

We aim to resolve complaints quickly and fairly. Please submit complaints in writing to info@tempo.football. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable timeframe.


22) Variations

Tempo may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Material changes will be communicated directly where feasible.


23) Severability

If any provision is deemed unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.


24) Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.



Annex A – Programme-Specific Key Terms (Quick Reference)

A1. TY Programme

  • All payments non-refundable (except cancellation by Tempo or 14-day cooling-off before start).
  • Strict attendance, conduct, and academic/athletic requirements.
  • No “serious injury” refund exception.
  • See full Refund Policy.


A2. Junior Academy

  • Monthly: non-refundable; cancel with 14 days’ notice before next billing cycle.
  • Term: refundable only if cancelled 14 days before the next term begins.
  • Kit can be exchanged/swapped if unworn, undamaged, and not personalised.
  • Missed sessions not credited/refunded.


A3. Camps & Clinics

  • 7+ days: full refund/credit.
  • <7 days: 50% refund/full credit.
  • No-shows: no refund.
  • Illness/injury credits (with doctor’s note) at Tempo’s discretion.


A4. Tours

  • Deposits non-refundable.
  • Stage payments refundable only if >60 days pre-departure and recoverable from suppliers.
  • <60 days: no refund unless a replacement is found and costs are recovered.
  • Personal travel insurance strongly recommended/required.


A5. Tournaments

30 days: full refund.
  • 15–30 days: 50% (if fixtures not finalised).
  • <14 days/no-show: no refund.
  • Postponed: entry carried forward; cancelled with no new date: full refund.
