The Tempo experience
Train. Learn. Grow.
Our Transition Year programme brings football, education and athletic development into one purposeful week. Players develop their technical and tactical game while continuing core academic learning.
The programme runs from September to May. A typical day is 9am–3pm. Register for an assessment and our team will confirm suitability, what is included and payment arrangements.

Football
Technical and tactical coaching, position-specific work, match play and regular player feedback.

Education
Core learning in English, Maths, Sports Science and Leaving Certificate PE topics, connected to the lives of young athletes.

Athletic development
Strength, speed, mobility and physical preparation, with initial assessments and ongoing progress reviews.

Performance habits
Nutrition, recovery, sports psychology and goal-setting help players take responsibility for their development.

Competitive experiences
Games, showcase opportunities and optional tours help players apply their learning in new environments.

People & support
Programme Director Tom Foody and the coaching team support players and families throughout the year.

Who can apply?
Students entering Transition Year who want to develop their football while continuing their education. You do not need to be a current Junior Academy member.
How does assessment work?
Register through 360Player. Tempo confirms your centre and assessment arrangements, then discusses suitability with the student and parent or guardian. Registration does not guarantee a place.
What is included in the programme?
Tempo confirms the timetable, included activities, teamwear and payment arrangements with families before enrolment. Optional tours are discussed separately.
What about transport and school arrangements?
Contact the team for the arrangements at your preferred centre. Confirm transport and the educational arrangements with Tempo and your school before accepting a place.
